Time Locked Publications

The effective and intriguing sales promotion tool

Launching a new product? Promoting time-limited offers? - if so, using time locked publications can ensure that your customers only see details when you specify.

How does this work?  Simple. DigiPix creates your publication as a normal digital publication. We then set dates upon which some or all of the pages in the publication can be opened. We also set dates for when those pages expire.

For example, a retailer may be planning a sale, and wish to advise customers of some of the special bargains that will be available during the sales period.  A special sales brochure can be prepared in advance ready for distribution. However, the pages containing details of specially reduced items can be time locked  so the pages will only be viewable on a specific future date (usually the day before the sale), Likewise, the pages can be set to expire on a different future date (usually the end of the sales period).

When customers receive their digital brochure, a page within the publication can advise customers that the brochure contains some very special offers that will become available if they open the brochure on a certain date. The non-locked pages of the publication can be viewed as normal, and can contain details about non-sale items.

The locked pages can even contain pop-up discount coupons that can be printed to a desktop printer. However, once the expiration date is reached, the locked pages and their coupons will be gone forever.

Time locking is a great feature for new car launches, retail sales, or for simply giving out time sensitive information. Furthermore, each page spread in a publication can be given different dates for when those pages will become available  or expire.

This can be used by a company wishing to advise people or staff of things that must be done or events that will happen on specific dates during the course of a year. For example, a 360 page publication can be created  with each page opening and expiring on each day of the year. By opening the publication every day, a new page will be opened detailing what is to happen on that specific date.
